Saffzen was founded not merely to manufacture overfill prevention sensors, but to rethink them.
We decided to focus our product design and manufacturing experience in industrial automation, embedded systems and electronic hardware on a single field. We founded the company in Istanbul in 2013 and began development with TÜBİTAK R&D support. In 2015 our first series-production sensor, the Saffzen 101, reached the market.
In the years that followed, our sensors were tested in the demanding conditions of chemical tankers and ran in different operational environments across several continents. That field experience laid the foundations of the new-generation Saffzen Premium. In 2022 a strategic investment from United Group expanded our R&D capacity. Today our sensors are in active service in many countries.

Each unit passes an instrumented electrical test. Results are recorded against the serial number, so a field question always has an answer.

Certifying an industrial sensor takes years. Whether a design decision was right shows not in the laboratory but in the field — on top of a tanker, under freezing snow or in searing sun. That is the tempo we work at. Every technology we develop was born as an answer to a specific field problem, and every one of them was proven in those conditions.
Overfill prevention sensors are the beginning of that journey. Industrial sensing — from liquid level to pressure, from temperature to flow control — is critical in every sector, and every one of them holds engineering problems still waiting to be solved. Our aim is to approach those problems with the same depth.
We want to do this not alone, but together with the right engineers, the right partners and the right customers. Every product we have developed so far came out of a real need in the field. Those needs were always shown to us by our customers and by the people working on the ground. That is how it will continue.
